About Optical Components
MORITEX is focused on the production of V-Groove and Fiber Arrays in the North American market. We are also promoting aspherical lenses and glass sealed ball lens caps within the North American market for a variety of applications, but these lenses will not be available until the beginning of 2011. 
Product Listing for Optical Components
Fiber Arrays & V-Grooves
MORITEX offers both standard and custom finished optical fiber arrays and machined V-Grooves with cover plates in quartz, pyrex and ceramic for use in optical communication devices and modules. Standard products include 1, 2, 4, 8, 16 and 32 V-Grooves with a standard 250µm core-to-core pitch. Moritex utilizes a proprietary grinding process that ensures consistent V-Groove dimensions with tight tolerances thereby resulting in accurate optical fiber pitch and height. Custom design and manufacturing to your specifications is also available. Please contact the Moritex office nearest you. Applications: Arrays and Grooves are available in quartz or pyrex and can be connectorized as well.
Aspherical Lenses
Optical components are not available in the US market. As our manufacturing is geared towards high-volume production, high-volume requests may be directed to our Japan office.optocom@moritex.co.jp MORITEX offers LD~Fiber coupling, CAN-type, Fiber~PD coupling, and fiber collimating aspherical lenses. We also custom design and manufacture aspherical lenses. Lenses are available mounted or un-mounted and with or without AR coating. * Lenses are made to order and are only availble in large quantities.
Glass Sealed Ball Lens Caps
Optical components are not available in the US market. As our manufacturing is geared towards high-volume production, high-volume requests may be directed to our Japan office.optocom@moritex.co.jp Moritex ball lens caps are fixed onto a metal lens holder with a glass sealing material, providing a high air-tightness seal. Our standards line is availble in BK-7 or TAF-3, with daiamters ranging from 0.8 to 2.5mm. Lens caps are available with or without AR coating (98% Transmisttance). Custom requests are also accepted, with different lens material and cap sizes. Note that all lens caps are made to order. Moritex does not stock units and will only accept high volume inquiries.
Metallized Optical Fibers
Optical components are not available in the US market. As our manufacturing is geared towards high-volume production, high-volume requests may be directed to our Japan office.optocom@moritex.co.jp Our optical fiber metallizing capability provides an optical fiber that can be hermetically sealed into an optical module package. A spattering method is used thereby providing the highest adhesion of the metals to the fiber. Available metal combinations include, but are not limited to Ti/Ni/Au and Ni/Au.
Optical Assemblies
Optical components are not available in the US market. As our manufacturing is geared towards high-volume production, high-volume requests may be directed to our Japan office.optocom@moritex.co.jp In addition to optical components, we also provide optical assemblies such as optical fiber routing boards, PM or SM Fiber Patchcords, connectorized pigtail assemblies, etc. These can be produced to your specifications or we can propose a design based on your needs. AR coating is also available according to your wavelength window. Custom designed and produced to suite your particular needs. |
