This system is designed to align and bond low and high channel count optical fiber arrays to a planar waveguide device utilizing a proprietary UV curing system. High resolution 6-axis alignment stages on both sides of the device coupled with Moritex’s unique active alignment algorithms provide the highest level of alignment and bonding precision available.
Features:- Space saving achieved by storing control boards, measuring and supporting equipment inside the system
- UV enclosure cover to protect the operator from exposure
- Able to align fiber array to fiber array as well as pigtailing to optical waveguides, with transmission optical length up to 100m
- Angle change of Y-axis available (+8 degrees, 0 degree, -8 degrees) according to the polishing angle of the fiber array
- Designing and utilizing the holder tooling for fiber arrays and waveguides in consideration of easy and quick operation
- Constructing the “Macro” each time in accordance with the device and/or size changes
- Automated parallelism achievement between the fiber array and the waveguide by means of image analysis using two CCD cameras
- Automated contact detection of the fiber array and the waveguide to be made as well as measurement of its distance to be provided via the sensor installed in the fiber array
